As a public intervention in the main square of Turin, we staged a performance to challenge Europe to contemplate its complicated relationship with immigrants and refugees.

An imagined character is an activist 'empathy-hacker', who crosses the square with an 'empathy bomb', releasing oxytocin gas, commonly known as the love drug.

To create the performance, we fashioned a backpack with a circular hatch, and popped a smoke inside, but allowed the people of Turin to imagine what they would like.
